Great job: On May 14th the Olympian’s and God’s Golden Oldies put together birthday bags for the food pantry. It was a great night of fun and fellowship in service to our Lord.

We’re bananas for our missionaries! The Davoll family will soon depart for language school as they prepare for the mission field in Equador, which just happens to be a large exporter of bananas. The family has asked its supporters to think of and pray for them each time you eat a banana. Now bananas are not only good for the body, they are good for the (eternal) soul.
This is our first attempt to distribute The Beacon electronically. By doing so, we hope to cut costs and have a wider distribution. If you have a family member not living in the area (perhaps going to college) and would like him or her to receive the newsletter via e-mail, please let me know. I can be reached at dereksmommy@msn.com. I look forward to your feedback and your news items for future newsletters.
Many thanks to Betsy Remington for her faithful service in keeping everyone informed for the past 10 years through The Beacon.
